The studio
A detailing studio in San Diego, working on paint since 2012.
We opened the studio to do one thing properly: make paint look better than the day it left the factory, without taking more of it than we need to.
Every car starts with a wash and a set of paint depth readings. We test before we polish, we stop where the clear coat is thin, and we show you the finished car under the same studio lights we worked under.

How we work.
-

1
Wash and decontaminate
Foam pre-soak, two-bucket wash, iron fallout remover and clay. Polishing over grit puts new scratches in.
-

2
Measure the paint
A gauge reads the paint depth on every panel, so we know how much clear coat there is to work with before a pad touches it.
-

3
Correct under studio light
Compound, then polish, one panel at a time under lights that show swirls, holograms and haze.
-

4
Strip the oils
A panel wipe removes polishing oils that would hide defects and stop a coating bonding.
-

5
Coat and cure
The coating goes on in sections, is levelled, and cures overnight indoors before the car goes home.
Questions we are asked most.
What is the difference between a polish and a paint correction?
A one-step polish improves gloss and removes light swirls. A correction adds a compounding stage first, to cut deeper defects, then refines the finish. We measure the paint before choosing.
Does a ceramic coating stop scratches?
No coating makes paint scratch-proof. It adds a hard, slick layer that resists light marring, chemical stains and UV, and makes the car much easier to wash. Washing technique still matters.
How long will my car be in the studio?
A wash takes a few hours; a correction one to two days; a coating needs an extra night indoors to cure. The quote builder shows the time for your vehicle and package.
How should I wash a coated car?
Rinse first, use a pH-neutral shampoo with two buckets and a clean mitt, and dry with a soft towel or blower. Avoid automatic brush washes, which put swirls back in.
Bring the car in, or send us photos of the paint first.
